The Effect of Using the Historical Story on the Achievement of Second-grade Intermediate Students in the History Lesson

Abstract

The study aims to know the impact of the historical story on the achievement of the second-grade intermediate students in the history lesson. The research sample consists of 60 female students, 30 female students for the experimental group and 30 female students for the control group. The study designed an achievement test consisting of 40 multiple choice items. The study concluded that the average achievement of the experimental group is 31, which is greater than the average achievement of the control group, which amounted to 27.16. The study employed the statistical methods of chi-square, T. test, and the Pearson and Spearman-Brown equation.
