Abstract

      The research seeks to clarify the role of information technology and its reflection on tourism management through an applied study of the views of a sample of administrative workers for a number of tourism companies in Baghdad city. As with the acceleration of technological progress, the scope of reliance on information technology begins to expand to include different vital areas including tourism companies. Tourism companies (under discussion) must make use of components of information technology in tourism management. The study summarizes the existence of an important role for information technology in tourism management. One of its most important recommendations is the use of companies and experts specializing in the field of information technology, information training of administrative leaders and employees on how to use it. The research consists of theoretical and practical sides of the study and the relationship between these two parts.
